Our protective layers are specified to meet FLL* Standards. Through our research, we have identified the best performing materials available for use with different membranes/roof systems for reducing risk to your building envelope:
- Protective & Drainage Layers
- Root Barrier–Protects from root penetration. Available in 3 thicknesses: 20mil; 30mil; and, 40mil.
- Protection Mat–A lightweight protection course for protecting below-grade waterproofing membranes from damage during backfill and/or concrete pours.
- RetenDuct–Durable, waffle design creates open flow path while protecting waterproofing during and after placement of planting media.
- Moisture Mat–Made from 100% recycled materials. Protects waterproofing membrane while holding moisture below the drainage layer. Available in 2 weights: 14 oz/sq yd (MRM14) and 30 oz/sq yd (MRM30).
- ConductMesh–Lightweight aluminum mesh for vector mapping under single-ply membranes (EFVM).
Additionally, our Moisture Retention Mat helps detain water and is used extensively in living wall construction.
