Seeding - (Hydro seeding) is a method of propagation on a green roof with a slurry that contains germinated seeds. The establishment phase with this method takes the longest of the green roof systems. It a very cost effective way to create a green roof that is out of sight and where immediate aesthetics is not of primary importance. Full establishment is 18 months to 3 yrs depending on growing zone and conditions.
Plugs - Sedum plugs are pre-grown 2 ½” plants transported to a roof garden site for planting in pre laid growth media or in modular tray systems for installation on a green roof project. Full establishment is generally 1 to 2 yrs.
Cuttings - Sedums are hardy succulents and will re root quickly when spread over a dry growth medium. We harvest periodically during the growing season and have a regular propagation of the following plants. Click here for a list of species provided as cuttings.
