STORM WATER MANAGEMENT
Our urban environments have over loaded the natural world with impervious surfaces that force storm water flows into our waterways. Developed sewage and drainage systems are made to process a certain amount of runoff and sewage. Once the system is overloaded, the sewage mixes with new volumes of runoff and this flows untreated into the environment. The result can be bacterial blooms in nearby rivers and lakes, beach closings and drinking water contaminations. Cities and local governments will begin to tax owners and developers for the storm water runoff from buildings and parking lots.

GRS MODI Garden Grid
EFFECTIVE: Large ‘buttonholes' (up to a maximum size of 27x15 mm) positioned on the GRS MODÌ Garden Grid's surface specifically for the purpose, help the roots to spread better both horizontally and around the Garden Grid. The transversal and longitudinal light has an aerobic function, thus meaning that the grass grows evenly. What is more, water is distributed more easily, and does not become stagnant, guaranteeing good drainage.
UNIQUE: The water conservation system (1.5 l/m²) that covers the entire surface area, can easily be doubled simply by adding a second layer of GRS MODÌ Garden Grid , similarly increasing the layer of earth to a thickness of 6 cm . In this way irrigation costs are reduced, saving both time and money, and the grass is better maintained thanks to the way that MODÌ Garden Grid retains the soil's nutritive substances and to the extremely reduced heat.
